Happy Birthday

This card uses a combination of pattern paper and die cut flowers. The smaller flowers were cut from solid card stock, the large flower was cut from solid blue and then mounted on vellum, the leaves are just cut from vellum. Some of the products I used: Clearly Besotted Leafy Accents, Die Namics Spring Garden, Technique Tuesday Garden Flowers, MFT Birthday die, HA Happy stamp.

Sorry

The last card for the weekend goes back to the Unforgettable Elephants from My Favorite Things. I have made several cards with this set lately. On this one I added three additional balloons popped up for dimension. I used some of the MFT plaid paper, too. The images are colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens on water color paper. I used a black copic marker to color some twine which I used for the three balloons in the foreground.

You're so Sweet

I was playing around with texture paste and had an idea to use my Snowflake paste to make icing for a cupcake! So I used some re-inkers to color the paste and applied it to the top of a cupcake stamp from Inkadinkado. Before it dried I sprinkled it with glitter! To fill up the rest of the image, I decided to stamp small hearts around the cupcake in a similar color. It was a small 1 inch stamp pad from a Hero Arts Kit back in December, a very dark red. These hearts are from Share Handmade Kindness by Hero Arts. The sentiment is from the same Inkadinkado stamp set. Here's the finished card.

Here's a card I made for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge "Come Rain or Shine"

I used copic markers to color the images which are from Stampendous "Short Stack" set. The sentiment is also a Stampendous, and I thought it was so cute! The umbrella is is Spellbinders Die. The umbrella paper was cut with the MFT Die Namics Blueprint 27 die. I hope you like my card today!

Steeped in Love

I am entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge "Come Rain or Shine"  because the friend it's for has been my friend through rain, shine, hail, hurricanes, marriages, divorces, re-locations, you name it!

When I first saw this MFT stamp, I knew exactly who it was for because my best friend drinks copious amounts of hot tea! Winter and summer!

The stamp is called "Steeped in Love" and I colored the image with copic markers to match the flowered paper I created with a bunch of small flower stamps from Hero Arts. The panels were cut with Lawn Fawn's Scalloped Rectangle dies. I created a bouquet of small flowers using dies from Impression Obsession and Taylored Expressions. I was thinking of a talented crafter I follow, Kitty Caracciolo. Her blog is Kittiekraft and she makes fabulous scenes with all kinds of die cuts!

I really like the way this turned out, and I think my girlfriend will like it, too!

I am also entering it in

Just a Note

Hi crafters! I had this image from Essentials by Ellen but I didn't want it to be coffee, so I made it into a slushy instead! I also wanted my sentiment to be simple, nothing about coffee or Frappe, so I used a Avery Elle stamp called "Petal Panel.) The Distress Crayons had just arrived so I decided to use a stencil and apply some yellow on the panel (after masking the cup.) It's a little hard to see. Sorry! The water colored paper off to the right was made with distress inks.

Chocolate Birthday

A masculine Birthday Card - the cake is from Stampendous "15 candles" stamp set, the banner is from Stampin' Up. I combined several patterned and solid card stock to make the back ground, selecting paper with lots of texture. Check out the close-up shot. I used Paper Smooches "Dots and Dashes" on the olive horizontal piece.

Happy Birthday Fuss

Subtle male colors for a masculine birthday card - at least that's what I was going for!
When I saw this striped paper at my local box store, I knew it was a manly pattern! LOL
Seriously, I stamped and colored the images to match the paper (from My Mind's Eye.)
I used Technique Tuesdays's Umpteenth Birthday stamp for the cake, balloons,
and the presents. Then I colored them with copic markers.

I even practiced my shading - check out the cake, balloons, table top!

Love

One more card for the Reverse Confetti Sketch 34 for March. This one uses some plaid hearts peeping out from the RC die with LOVE in the middle and wavy die behind it! On the right there's some paper I water colored with Distress Inks and a few sequins to top it off. I happen to love green and pink together, so this just fell into place once I water colored the back ground paper. I had a hard time taking a photo of this one. Sorry.

Three Grands!

I just had to share this My goofy grand kids wanted to sell lemonade today. We went outside for a bit after school and before I knew it, they were all set up! I told them this was silly with such cold weather (flurries this morning!) THEN, a neighbor came over and BOUGHT A GLASS OF LEMONADE, giving them a dollar!!! They were ecstatic! I laughed!!

Tons of Fun

A cute card for my friend's birthday! I went back to the Adorable Elephants for my focal point, stamped and colored with copic markers. The plaid paper is from MFT as well. The back ground I created by "smooshing" distress ink onto water color paper!

Happy Graduation

Today I have a Graduation card using some pattern paper and stamps & dies from Reverse Confetti. I stamped the small strip going down the center, used solid and plaid behind that strip. The heart die is a new one from RC, and the HAPPY die and stamp just arrived in the mail this week. I love them! I happen to have some enamel pieces which matched my colors.

Easter Card

Here's a second card for the Great Impressions March Challenge BUNNY HOP

The Great Impression basket stamp has lots of lines, so when you stamp it on white card stock with dark brown ink and color it with a light brown marker, it gives the basket a dimensional look! The eggs and the bunny are from Sugar Pea Designs.

Birthday Star

I am entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp
Monday Challenge Use Some Lucky Stars

A quick description - I adhered the MFT Concentric Circle Stencil onto Ranger heavy weight water color paper with Elmer's re-positional mounting spray and used Colorcraft Brusho in Sea Green and Lemon to water color the paper. When I removed the stencil, the white lines were left. I cut this out and also a matching border and adhered them to my white card base in 6 x 6. I used a Sixxix die to cut the stars in two sizes from two different papers and popped them up in the middle of the circle. I die cut the MFT "Happy Birthday" from DCWV Glitzy Glitter paper and also from a light blue piece of card stock and glued them together so the sentiment would pop up a bit from the card. Each corner was stamped with a few stars in a light blue (you can't see it very well in the picture.)

Bunnies and Jelly Beans!

I am entering this card in the Great Impressions March 2016 Challenge BUNNY HOP
and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Cute and Cuddly

I had so much fun making this card! All of the stamps are from Great
Impressions (check out their challenge icon below) except the one pink egg. I found some very "springy" pattern paper and wanted to use the new MFT Blueprint Sketch 27 die to divide the area into four boxes for stamping. Then I used some copic markers. I think it turned out SO cute

Easter March

I just love this image! It's from Penny Black, copic marker colored and a little bit of Wink of Stella. The frame is from MFT Die Namics Stitched Rectangle Scalloped Frames and the water colored panel behind it was cut from Lawn Fawn's Scalloped Rectangle Stackables. I have been using that die so much lately. It was expensive, but so worth it! I used Distress Inks to water color that panel.

Easter Critters

and My Favorite Things COLOR CHALLENGE

Today's card started with an idea I had months ago when I first got this Stampendous Stamp with the cute critters. You mix and match heads, feet, and little bodies. But, I wondered what the scene would look like without the bodies - hence the fence! Here's how it turned out! The critters are colored with copic markers; so is the sky and some of the grass. For details, I used MFT Blueprint Sketch 27 (the scalloped panel), Prairie Fence and Grassy Fields dies. The Easter basket is Sugar Pea Designs, stamped, colored, and cut out. The sentiment is from MFT Embellished Eggs stamp.

Hippity Hoppity

Another Easter card which I made yesterday - featuring Waffle Flower's "Egg Hunt" die and a bunny from W Plus 9 "Going Places" stamp set. The MFT Stitched Cover Up Companion Vertical die was used for the pink pattern paper layer. Added a few sequins and it was done! I hope you like it.

Hey There

Morning! Here's a card I made yesterday for the My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge #272

Here's the sketch -

I am also going to enter this card in Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Cute and Cuddly

For this card I used MFT Wavy Greetings "Hey There." I also used MFT Adorable Elephant stamp which was water colored and cut out to be placed in the basket by Waffle Flower Design. It's called "Egg Hung" die. The polka dot paper was cut with MFT Stitched Rounded Rectangle Stax. The whole card was edged with MFT Die Namics Stitched Lines die, and the butterfly is from Hero Arts.

Happy Easter

Entering this card in the Sugar Pea Design SUGAR SKETCH 43 Challenge

Hi Bloggers! I createda few Easter cards the other day. This one was specifically designed with the Sugar Pea sketch 43 in mind. I stamped the basket and eggs with a bit of masking on white card stock, placed a scalloped yellow circle behind it and adhered it to a base made of several pattern papers. I rounded the two corners and stamped the "Happy Easter" greeting from Sugar Pea Designs on the yellow tag. I hope you like it!

Hi There

One more card for today! I used a lot of different products for this one, just going through my various stamp sets to get the elements I wanted. See details below.
Entering it in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Bit O' Green

I had previously stamped and colored images from Clearly Besotted's "Cute As a Bug." The beehive and flower were colored directly on the card stock. The bee and the caterpillar were colored and cut out, so I was trying to figure out how to place everything on a card. I wanted a branch - found that in Impression Obsession tree die and adhered it to the top corner of the panel. The trunk of that same tree, held upside down, made a great stem for the flower, so I cut it out with green paper and adhered it to the bottom of the flower. The two leaf stems of the flower are from a different Clearly Besotted die. I popped the caterpillar up with foam tape in the middle. The tree needed leaves and I had a few already cut and embossed with green on green so I used those in the corner of the panel. The panel itself is a Die Namics Stitched Rounded Rectangle. The green around it is Lawn Fawn's Scalloped Rectangle Stackables. The pattern paper was from my stash and matched my color scheme. For the speech bubble and "hi there" I used Lawn Fawn's Sofie's Sentiments and Simon Says Stamp Talk Bubbles II. Lastly, I used the Die Namics Basic Stitch Lines around the whole flowered panel. I should take a close up of it because you really can't see it in this picture!

Hello There

What fun I had today! I went back through some of my colored images and found this little girl who was sitting on a sled! A SLED! It's been 70 degrees for the past two days here in NJ!! Well, I cut that sled away and tried to picture her doing something else. VOILA .... Swinging By

The original stamp is "Dashing By" from MFT. After I played around for a long time with different elements for this card, I decided to make it look like she was outside, and we were viewing her through a window. That took some planning, but it worked out perfectly Here's a close up and the products are listed below.

Hero Arts "Many Everyday Messages"
MFT "Dashing By"
Sugar Pea Design "Log Cabin Mountainscape"
Brusho for the sky
Copics for the lawn and log cabin
Impression Obsession for tree die on right
MFT pattern paper for "wall paper"

Hugs

I made this card for my daughter in law. But I also made it for two challenges this week:
My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge 271
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Bit O' Green
My Favorite Things Color Challenge

I used Die Namics "Little Letters" to create the word HUGS for the front of my card. Around the edges of the card I used Die Namics Basic Stitch Lines to create an embossed look which matches the pattern paper - MFT Fresh Squeezed Chevron two tone green. To finish the card, white ribbon, white hearts with Wink of Stella, and white dots with Uniball Signo Pen were all used as embellishments. Check out the close up pic to see the stitch lines.

Sending Big Hugs

I am entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp
Monday Challenge Make Your Own Background

Sending Big Hugs - I wanted to create some bold flower paper so I used Technique Tuesday's "Garden of Life" stamp set, stamping images and then coloring them with Zig Real Brush pens. I cut of some of the paper and used the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Rectangle Stackable die to make a panel for the bottom of my card. One of the flowers would be used as an embellishment above the ribbon line. For my greeting I used Simon Says Stamp's "Big Scripty Greetings." I matched the colors of my paper to some card stock and adhered all the parts on a card base. I really like the way this turned out and will be giving it to a friend who recently had some surgery.

Sincere Sympathy

Banner-MIX-it

I needed a sympathy card but wanted to enter the Ellen Hutson Mix It Up Challenge, so this is the results! I hope you like it.

Using "Bohemian Garden" Essentials by Ellen stamp set, I stamped flower and leaf images on some water color paper and used the Zig Brush Pens for coloring. Next, the panel was cut using a Lawn Fawn Scalloped Rectangle Stackable die and adhered to a lavender card.

I used another piece of the same card stock for the sentiment which comes from Taylored Expression's "Care and Comfort II."  For final touches, I added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins to the flowers and around the card, finishing it off with the Pretty Pink Posh "Twine and Bows" die in a diagonal.
